Timothy J. Somen

Tim focuses his practice on commercial law and general litigation, including representation of individuals, business owners and financial institutions. His years of experience in private practice has included representing clients in complex commercial issues and commercial transactions and individuals in a variety of matters including, without limitation, personal injury, divorce, evictions and guardianships. 

Tim has successfully tried bench and jury cases before the state and federal courts in Illinois and Tennessee (pro hac vice) and represented clients in matters before the Illinois appellate court.

Tim has successfully represented businesses and individuals in a variety of matters:

  • sale and purchase agreements
  • construction and mechanics lien litigation
  • shareholder disputes
  • debtor-creditor issues
  • restructuring and reorganization of corporations
  • litigation in matters involving bankruptcy and acquisition
  • dissolution of business entities

Tim's representative clients include individuals and families, all forms of small and medium sized businesses including suppliers, manufacturers, printers, contractors, and other service professionals as well as local and national financial institutions.

Tim and his wife reside in the suburbs with their two children and dog.
